Valken Font was designed by Type Associates in 1957. Originally named Valken, the font was later renamed to Valkenhoff after its designer, Heinz Hoffmann. The name change occurred because Hoffmann felt that the original name did not reflect the quality of the design.
It is a decorative typeface with a distinctive “futuristic” look. The lowercase letters are very wide, and the uppercase letters are extremely tall and thin. This makes the font quite legible, even in small sizes.
